Navigation and visible services (Sparks for Teams)
Last updated: February 2026
This page describes how navigation (sidebar on desktop, bottom bar on mobile) works in the main app and which entries depend on your connected services.
Where is navigation?
- Desktop: Sidebar on the left with icons for Chat, Teams, Calendar, Calls, Settings, etc.
- Mobile: Bottom navigation bar with the main areas.
- Customize: Via the menu (three dots) choose “Customize sidebar” / “Customize navigation” to show, hide, and reorder areas.
Which entries are shown?
Visible entries depend on connected services:
- Chat, Teams, Calendar, Calls, Contacts, Activity, AI Assistant, etc. are usually available (unless hidden in customization).
- Microsoft Teams Chat and Microsoft Teams Channels appear only when a Microsoft account (Microsoft 365 / Teams) is connected in the app.
No Microsoft account connected
- Microsoft Teams Chat and Microsoft Teams Channels are not shown in the sidebar or mobile navigation.
- Direct links to these areas (e.g. bookmarks) redirect to the home page (chat overview).
Connect a Microsoft account
- Where: Main app → Settings → Provider Accounts & Organisations (or Connected accounts). Sign in with your Microsoft 365 / Teams account.
- After a successful connection, Microsoft Teams Chat and Microsoft Teams Channels appear in navigation (if not hidden in sidebar customization). You can show or hide them via “Customize sidebar”.
